Pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the cabin glazing, the fuselage windows and the wheel hubs of the UH-34, HSS-1 and Westland Wessex HU.5 and HAS.3 helicopters in 1:72 scale. They correspond in shape to the Italeri kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sikorsky UH-34 and the naval HSS-1 belong to one family of transport helicopters with the pilot's compartment set high above the cabin. The British Westland Wessex comes out of this design and in the HU.5 and HAS.3 versions served with the Royal Navy. What they all have in common is the divided glazing of the pilot's compartment, a row of windows in the fuselage and landing gear with wheels, so a lot of masking awaits a modeler before painting.
The set brings pre-cut self-adhesive masks for the glazing of the pilot's compartment, for the windows in the fuselage and for the wheel hubs. The cuts correspond to the shape of the parts of the Italeri kits in 1:72 scale.
Wash the glazing and let it dry thoroughly, as a mask does not hold on a greasy surface. Take the parts off with tweezers, lay them on dry and press them down around their whole perimeter. With the windows in the fuselage proceed one piece at a time and keep checking that the row stays regular. Paint in thin coats and take the masks off as soon as the paint is dry to the touch.
The set suits anyone who builds one of the machines of this family in 1:72 scale and wants sharp frames of the glazing and cleanly separated wheel hubs. The package contains only masks; the model, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
