A pair of resin CFM56-5B engines for the Airbus A320 in 1:144 scale replaces both nacelles on a model with more accurate castings.

Sets from the LACI brand are among the accessories that builders of airliners reach for when the simplified shapes from the box bother them. According to its name this is a package with two engines, that is, the complete powerplant for one model of the narrow-body Airbus in 1:144.
The CFM56-5B engine is the work of a joint venture of an American and a French maker and for the A320 family it became one of the two options offered. The other was the unit of a rival consortium, and the two differ from each other in the shape of the nacelle and in the design of the exhaust section, so on a model this is not an interchangeable detail. Anyone building a machine of a particular airline has to check which version of the powerplant that individual aircraft carried, otherwise the result will not match the subject even with the best of finishes.
Take the castings off the casting blocks by cutting, not by snapping. Level the contact surface on sandpaper laid on glass, because only that way will both nacelles seat at the same angle. Wash the mold release agent off the parts before gluing and use cyanoacrylate glue. Sand wet and with respiratory protection.
The contents are a resin accessory for completing a build; the kit is bought separately.
