Reskit 1:144 Tupolev Tu-95 (Tu-142) wheels set (weighted) is a resin wheel set with tires deformed under load. It replaces the plastic wheels from a kit and does not contain the model itself.

This is not an aircraft model but an accessory set for a kit of the Tu-95, or of its naval derivative the Tu-142, in 1:144 scale. The wheels are cast in resin and are made with a load deformation, so the tire is slightly flattened where it meets the surface and once finished the model visually stands on its landing gear instead of merely touching it.
The Tu-95 is a four-engine long-range bomber with turboprop engines and contra-rotating coaxial propellers, and it is among the highest-performing production propeller aircraft of all. The Tu-142 is its anti-submarine and maritime patrol variant with a modified fuselage and different equipment, including reworked landing gear. The high takeoff weight of both types shows on the real machine as markedly loaded tires, and that is exactly what the set reproduces in a small scale.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent, because mold release agent is usually left on the surface and paint will not hold over it. Cut off the casting blocks with a thin saw or a cutting disc, not with nippers, which easily crack a small casting. Sand the cut faces, ideally wet and with respiratory protection, because resin dust must not be breathed in. They are bonded with super glue, that is cyanoacrylate; ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on resin. Apply a primer before painting, which will also reveal fine scratches. When seating them, make sure that the flattened part of the tire points downward and that all the wheels sit in one plane.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the kit itself are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
