A detailed accessory for external stores in 1:32 scale from Reskit, made by direct 3D printing from resin. It represents the external SUU-23 gun pod with a 20 mm rotary cannon, intended for the American McDonnell F-4 Phantom II fighter in the variant with the closed gun bay. The package contains one pod. This is not a model of an aircraft in its own right, but an accessory for a kit.
The SUU-23 gun pod was carried by Phantoms that lacked an internal cannon. 3D printing allows a fine rendering of the body of the pod, of the muzzle and of details that injection-molded plastic cannot capture in this scale. It completes the external stores and raises the authenticity of the model.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue and separate them from the print supports. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and sand with respiratory protection. Paint the pod according to the aircraft you have chosen and bring out the muzzle and the wear with a wash.
