A set of accessories, not a kit. According to the name, in the package there are a self-adhesive veneer deck with the laying of the planks printed on it, a masking template for spraying and photo-etched parts. Everything is adapted to the Aoshima 009758 plastic kit, which you have to own.
It is precisely on ships with a large handling deck that veneer gives both the most work and the most effect. The template does fit, but around the crane bases, the hatches and the rails it is a good idea to proceed in small stretches: peel a piece of the protective film off, lay it on, press it down, and only then continue. Where the veneer has an internal cut-out, raise the edge with the tip of a scalpel and seat it with a blunt tool, not with a fingernail. Trim the overhangs on the spot with a new blade led along the edge of the plastic, always away from yourself and in one stroke, so that the cut is not ragged.
Lay the veneer onto the deck dry first and go through all the cut-outs. That way you will spot any shift before the adhesive touches the plastic; once it is stuck on, the position can no longer be corrected. Degrease the plastic beforehand and let it dry properly. Fold the photo-etched parts from the set on a sharp edge, glue them with a minimum of super glue and go over them with a primer before painting.
The accessory is cut for the Aoshima 009758 kit, so check the match with your version. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
