Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit from Meng in 1:35 scale, that is in a size in which helicopters are built only exceptionally and in which a finished model takes up a fair piece of a shelf. It is a special edition, to which, according to the name, two resin figures belong. The machine is worked out in the version of the Israeli Air Force, which uses the name Saraf for its attack helicopters of this line.
The AH-64 is a two-seat attack helicopter with the crew sitting in tandem, with a movable cannon under the nose and with stub wings on which the armament is hung. The D version is a later stage of development with modernized avionics. The Israeli Air Force introduced these machines into service under a name of its own and uses them as a heavy support element. The long slender tail boom, the angular shapes and the exposed technical detail make the helicopter a rewarding object especially in a large scale.
Finish the cockpit and close it up before you set about the fuselage, because more will be visible through the glazing than you expect. Mask the glazing and varnish it separately. Build the rotor head and the engine nacelles slowly and keep checking the alignment, so that a rotor blade does not end up pointing somewhere other than the others. Wash the mold release residue off the figures before gluing, join them with cyanoacrylate glue and sand them with protection for your breathing. At the end a fine accentuation of the panels and slight dusting of the lower surfaces will help.
