This set from Reskit contains a pair of B8V20-A rocket pods in 1:35 scale. It is a resin (3D printed) detail accessory, not a stand-alone model. The set is used to add armament to models of helicopters, aircraft and ground vehicles and it also contains a decal sheet. Working with resin is a job for more experienced modelers.
The B8V20-A is a Soviet, and later Russian, rocket pod for twenty unguided 80 mm S-8 rockets. It is used on a wide range of carriers, among them helicopters of the Mi-8, Mi-24 and Ka-50 families and attack aircraft; the pods also turn up on improvised ground mounts. It is one of the most widespread rocket weapons of its category.
First wash the parts to remove any remains of uncured print resin and cut off the print supports. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and use respiratory protection when sanding. Prime the pods, paint them with an airbrush and bring out the faces with the rockets. The set gives the model realistic external stores.
This is a resin detail accessory for another model. The base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
