An injection-molded plastic kit of the German medium tank Panther (Sd.Kfz.171) in 1:35 scale from manufacturer Tamiya. The model depicts the characteristic sloped armored hull, interleaved road wheels, and the long 75 mm gun. It is an unassembled kit to be glued from plastic parts.
The Panther (Sd.Kfz.171) was a German medium tank deployed from 1943 to the end of the Second World War. It combined strong, favorably sloped frontal armor, good mobility, and a long 75 mm gun with high penetrating power, which made it one of the most feared tanks of its time. It was produced in several versions (including Ausf. D, A, and G), which differed in turret, hull, and equipment details.
First assemble and paint the running gear and interleaved wheels, which become hard to reach after the tracks are finished. Glue the parts with thin liquid cement for plastic, fill and sand the seams. Apply a primer coat and spray the shades with an airbrush — a three-color camouflage is a good option for the Panther. The surface was often coated with Zimmerit paste; bring out the texture with washes in the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the lower hull and tracks.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints, and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
