A set of accurately reproduced resin AIM-120 A/B AMRAAM missiles (4 pcs) from Reskit in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic missiles from a boxed kit with a more faithful copy with crisp edges and fine surface detail.
The AIM-120 AMRAAM is an American medium-range missile with active radar guidance. The original A and B versions have full (unclipped) control surfaces and older electronics. They were carried by the F-15, F-16 and F/A-18.
This is a resin (3D-printed) set for experienced modelers. First wash the parts, cut off the blocks (the attachment stubs) and sand the surfaces down; protect your airways when sanding resin. They are glued with cyanoacrylate, not with ordinary plastic cement. Lay down a base coat (a primer) before painting; the missiles are sprayed with an airbrush and finished with the color markings of the particular service use.
The set is supplied as unpainted resin parts. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
