This set is NOT an aircraft model but a resin detail accessory intended for Junkers Ju-52/3m models in 1:48 scale. It replaces the plastic main landing gear wheels with precisely cast parts with a faithful tire tread and finely rendered hubs. The set is intended for more experienced modelers.
The sturdy fixed landing gear with its large wheels is a prominent feature of this three-engined machine. Cast tires usually have a realistic tread and a cleaner hub shape than injection-molded plastic; some wheel versions are moreover cast with a suggested flat spot where they meet the ground, which imitates the load on a standing aircraft well. The parts are conceived as a direct replacement.
Wash the wheels free of mold release agent, separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate); sand while protecting your airways. Choose a dark gray shade for the tires rather than pure black, separate the hubs with a mask or a careful brush and add light dust weathering.
This is an accessory set, not a complete kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
