The set replaces coarse plastic parts with fine photo-etched elements such as railings, nets, platforms and other details that give the model fidelity to scale.
USS Wasp was an American aircraft carrier of the Second World War period. Ships of this class carried the carrier air wing and formed the core of the naval formations in the Pacific. Fine elements such as railings and superstructure are the key to a realistic look in 1:700 scale.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them over a metal ruler or a bending tool. Glue with a small amount of cyanoacrylate glue. Install the railings and nets only once the deck is painted. The model is usually built as a waterline version on a stand. Work in this scale calls for care and experience.
