Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German jet bomber Blohm & Voss BV P.178 in 1:72 scale from Bronco, in the version carrying the BT700 guided torpedo. The box is usually completed by photo-etched parts; the model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. For the exact contents, follow the enclosed instructions.
The BV P.178 is one of the paper projects of the Luftwaffe from the end of the Second World War (the so-called Luft 46). It was a design for a single-seat jet dive bomber powered by one jet engine, which never reached the prototype stage. This variant was planned with an underslung BT700 guided torpedo – that is, a guided weapon for attacking ship targets from a greater distance. The model therefore captures a speculative form of the machine based on period project documents.
The jet bomber has a prominent underslung weapon assembly – build and clean up the BT700 torpedo separately and fit it only after the base coat. First finish the cockpit and the air intake, then close the fuselage. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. Spray the base coat over a primer; as this is a project machine you can be a little imaginative with the camouflage scheme – but keep to plausible period Luftwaffe colors.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
