This resin kit for experienced modelers in 1:72 scale captures the early Czechoslovak Letov S-4 fighter biplane. The model comes from the Czech maker Brengun and is cast in gray resin, completed with clear film for the windscreens and a decal sheet.
The Letov S-4 was one of the first fighter aircraft of domestic design in interwar Czechoslovakia. It was a single-seat biplane of mixed construction with fixed landing gear, which represented an important step in building up the Czechoslovak aviation industry. It served in the early days of the independent military air force and is an interesting subject for collectors of early aviation history.
First wash the parts free of mold release agent residue and cut off the casting blocks. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), and wear respiratory protection while sanding. The rigging and the struts of a biplane call for care. For a period look, matte interwar shades and a fine patina suit the subject.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted as a resin kit. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
