This resin, 3D-printed supplementary set contains two Mk.84 aircraft bombs in the thermally protected version (BLU-117) with a BSU-36/B retarding tail. It is NOT an airplane model but accurate underwing armament for improving a model already built in 1:72 scale.
The BLU-117 is the thermally protected version of the heavy general-purpose Mk.84 bomb with a tougher case and a filling less sensitive to outside influences. The BSU-36/B tail is an inflatable retarding device for a safe release from a low altitude. The armament is carried by aircraft such as the AV-8B, the F-14 and the F/A-18.
Wash the print resin residue off the parts, separate them from the print supports and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. The bombs are usually painted olive green with colored identification bands.
The set contains resin parts only. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
