1:72 Rolls Royce Dart 532/534 is a resin engine set from LACI for models of the Hawker Siddeley HS 748 transport and airliner and its military Andover version in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from LACI holds resin replacements for the engine nacelles with Rolls Royce Dart turboprop units in the 532 and 534 versions, for models of the Hawker Siddeley HS 748 and its military Andover variant in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory. The casting captures the shape of the nacelle, the exhaust ducting and the transitions that are simplified in injection-molded plastic at this scale.
The Rolls Royce Dart is among the most successful British turboprop engines. It entered service at the beginning of the 1950s and powered several generations of regional airliners. The Hawker Siddeley HS 748 was a twin-engine regional airliner with high resistance to dusty and unpaved surfaces, thanks to which it made its mark outside Europe as well. The military Andover version served to carry cargo and airborne troops, for which it received a revised rear fuselage with a loading ramp.
First clean the mold release agent off the castings by washing them in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw so as not to damage the thin edges of the nacelle. A dry test on the wing pays off, as does cleaning up the plastic part if needed. Seat the engines so that the axes of both nacelles are parallel and at the same angle, or it will leap to the eye on the finished model. Resin is joined with super glue and needs a primer before painting.
