A model of the British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.Vb on the theme of the offensive sweeps (the Sweeps and Circus operations) over occupied Europe in 1941 and 1942, 1:72 scale, as an Eduard Limited Edition Dual Combo. The box contains parts for two complete models, and with them color photo-etched parts, painting masks and a large decal sheet for 11 schemes of pilots of various nationalities.
The Spitfire Mk.Vb with the Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine and the b type wing (two 20 mm cannon plus four .303 machine guns) was the most widespread version of the Spitfire and the backbone of RAF Fighter Command during the cross-Channel offensive of 1941 and 1942, when Czechoslovak and Polish squadrons flew in its ranks as well.
The model is best built in subassemblies, testing the fit of the parts dry before gluing. Paint the cockpit and the interior and, if you wish, pick them out with a wash before closing the fuselage. For the best result use a quality liquid plastic cement, fine files and, after the primer coat, an airbrush. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and seal them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
