Mr. Color gold is a metallic shade with a warm yellow cast. A lacquer paint, 10 ml, for decorative items, brass parts and ornaments.

Gold differs from silver shades not only in color but also in where it is used. On military vehicles it appears rarely, but on historical subjects, on decorative items, on brass parts and on ornaments it is irreplaceable. On ship models you will find it on fittings and decorations, on figures on buttons and shoulder boards.
Under the pigment stands a solvent-based lacquer, so water-based thinners are out of the question. Only the maker's own thinner is suitable for thinning, up to roughly twice the volume of paint. The bottle holds 10 ml. The metal particles settle according to the shape of the surface underneath, so with gold too a smooth surface gives a stronger shine than a rough one.
With gold items, less is more. Extensive gilded areas look toy-like on a model, while narrow decorative lines and small fittings give the result exactly the right impression.
Gold also differs from silver in how it reacts to lighting. Under warm light it looks more saturated, under cool light pale, so it pays to judge the result in daylight rather than under a desk lamp.
