Mr.Color modeling paint C322 Phthalo Cyanne Blue. A rich blue close to cyan, in a gloss finish.
Responsibility details are not available.
A rich blue shade under manufacturer code C322 from the Mr.Color range. It leans toward cyan, that is, a blue with a greenish tint, the kind phthalocyanine pigments give. The finish is gloss; the surface stays smooth once dry and reflects light, so the shade looks richer on a model than in the matte version.
A bold blue suits aircraft and automotive models, motorcycle tanks and fairings, accessories and color stripes. The gloss finish also gets along well with decals: on a smooth surface, no white haze forms underneath them, which is why gloss paint is also used as an intermediate layer before applying decals, with the whole model later unified with a matte varnish.
The paint can be applied with an airbrush or a brush. Choose the thinner made for this range and the mixing ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging; an unsuitable thinner shows up as a grainy surface or as the paint losing its gloss on the model. Wash and degrease the surface before painting. Build up a rich blue in several thin coats; a single heavy coat will pool into engraved lines and round off edges. Let the surface tack up between coats, or the paint will curdle and lose its gloss.
Mix the contents thoroughly before use, since the pigment settles to the bottom. Store the paint in a cool place, out of the reach of children and away from open flame. The package contains the paint; thinner, a base coat, varnish and tools are not included, unless stated otherwise.
