The 1:72 Boeing 737 MAX LEAP-1B engine with a base is a printed resin set that can also be displayed away from a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This version of the powerplant differs from the one with the cowlings swung open in that a base belongs to it. The engine can be stood next to a finished aircraft as an exhibit, or it can serve as a replacement nacelle on a model. The resin parts are produced by 3D printing and are intended for modelers who have worked with this material before.
The turbofan units of present-day airliners are often to be seen on their own at exhibitions and in manufacturers' halls, because their dimensions and the cleanness of their shapes work in their own right. The LEAP-1B powers the Boeing 737 MAX and, against older generations, it draws the eye with its large fan diameter and strikingly shaped intake. In miniature it comes out well when it is placed at eye level and lit from the side.
First put the base together and check that it stands without rocking; unevenness is corrected by sanding on a flat surface. Seat the engine section only after painting, or you will have more trouble reaching the shaded places. A carefully polished base will support the smooth gloss of metal. Reinforce the anchoring between the engine and the base with a higher-viscosity super glue.
The parts and the base are supplied unpainted, not as a finished exhibit and not as an aircraft.
