The separate resin figure 1:35 Soldier of the LSSAH Honorary Guard from T-Model captures a man of the honor guard in ceremonial uniform.
Responsibility details are not available.
This single resin figure from T-Model represents a man of the honor guard of a unit designated in German as the Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler and commonly abbreviated to LSSAH. The figure stands at attention with a rifle and fixed bayonet, in a ceremonial uniform of a dark shade with a polished helmet and leather belting.
The years 1935 to 1945 given in the name correspond to the period when the unit carried out guard and representative duties at government buildings in Berlin. The ceremonial dress differed markedly from field equipment: light belting, white gloves and a glossy helmet instead of camouflaged gear. The model serves collectors and diorama builders as a study of a period uniform and stance.
Clean the casting in a lukewarm bath with detergent and let it dry out properly. Cut the sprue gates off with a sharp knife and level the surfaces with abrasive paper wet. Cyanoacrylate will close the joints. A base coat in a light shade will reveal the scratches; the dark cloth then comes out well when you bring the edges to life with a fine lightening and leave the deep folds dark. Paint the white elements at the very end.
The figure comes unassembled and unpainted; paints and glue are to be obtained separately.
