A gray for the Lfrith scheme

A supporting tone of the color scheme of the machine Lfrith. On robot kits, gray falls on the parts that are not meant to draw attention and are at the same time the most numerous of all: joints, inner structures, weapon barrels, hinges and the mechanics under the armor. Because the shade is mixed in advance, it fits the other paints of the same line with no haggling over the palette, and when you top up your stock it looks the same as the first bottle.

Application and thinning

The paint is a water-thinnable acrylic and comes from the bottle ready for work. The pigment sinks to the bottom while it stands, so stir it well before every use. It is applied with a brush and with an airbrush alike; for spraying, thin it with the thinner of the same line according to the manufacturer's instructions, as a thinner for another type of paint can curdle the coat. Wash and degrease the base and apply the paint in several thin coats, so that the engraved panel lines stay legible.

Accenting panel lines and shading

• On a gray area a dark panel line accent is legible, yet it does not look harsh
• Drybrushing with a lighter tone pulls out the edges of joints and mechanics
• Let the dried coat cure thoroughly before you put a wash onto it
• Paint parts that are split up in a single session, so that they have the same tone
• Wash your tools at once, while the paint is still fresh

Terms of supply

The paint is supplied on its own. The thinner, brushes, varnishes and the kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. Work with good ventilation and store the bottle carefully closed, out of the reach of children.
