USMC GREEN FS 34095 – AIR

USMC Green FS 34095 - an AK interactive acrylic paint

A water-thinnable acrylic paint in a bottle for models of aircraft and equipment. The shade is defined by a number of the American standard and in the line it forms the green element of US Marine Corps schemes; with the sand shade from the same line it makes up a pair that covers most of the surfaces of a machine.

Use

• The final impression of this shade is settled by the last varnish. A matte varnish lightens the green optically and flattens it, while a satin one deepens it; decide before you start weathering rather than at the end.
• Do washes and detail highlighting on a varnished surface. On bare paint the liquid spreads according to how absorbent the surface is and leaves visible edges on a green area.
• If you combine several varnish layers on a model, watch that every area gets the same final varnish. A different sheen on two parts of a fuselage looks like a different shade even when the paint is the same.
• For small touch-ups after weathering use the same paint without varnish and then overcoat the area again, otherwise the touch-up stays glossier than its surroundings.

Who the paint is for

For builders of American equipment who need a green shade given by a standard number and want to pair it with the sand counterpart from the same line. It is a water-thinnable acrylic. The manufacturer also carries a shade with the same standard number in its lacquer paint line; that one is solvent-based, is thinned with its own thinner and does not mix with this bottle.

Shake thoroughly before work. Spray in a ventilated area and with respiratory protection, keep it closed, away from frost and out of the reach of children.
