Messerschmitt Me 262A-1 Jabo 1:48 from Dragon: an injection-molded plastic kit of the German jet aircraft in the fighter-bomber version.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German jet aircraft Messerschmitt Me 262A-1 in 1:48 scale from Dragon. The designation Jabo, from the German Jagdbomber, meaning fighter-bomber, refers to the use of the aircraft for strikes against ground targets with bombs fitted. The package consists of injection-molded plastic sprues, a clear canopy and a set of decals.
The Messerschmitt Me 262 was the first operational jet fighter in the world. It was powered by two jet engines under the wings, which gave the aircraft a speed that was extraordinary for its day. The Jabo version was adapted to carry bombs and attack ground targets. Despite its technical advance the type suffered from unreliable engines, and it entered service only in the closing stages of the Second World War, when it could no longer affect the outcome.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage and mask the clear canopy before painting. Apply a base coat (primer) and spray the mottled German schemes with an airbrush in thin coats. Assemble the bombs separately. Pick out the engraved lines and the engine nacelles with a dark wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
