Supermarine Spitfire H.F.Mk.VI in 1:72 scale – an injection-molded plastic kit of the high-altitude fighter version of the famous Spitfire from Smer.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the high-altitude H.F.Mk.VI version in 1:72 scale from Smer. The box contains gray plastic parts, clear cockpit parts and a decal sheet. It is a specific high-altitude variant that is worth distinguishing from the ordinary Spitfires of the Mk.V series.
The H.F.Mk.VI (High Altitude Fighter) was the high-altitude variant of the Spitfire intended to intercept the enemy at great heights. Compared with the standard versions it had a pressurized cockpit and extended pointed wing tips for better behavior in thin air. It was built in limited numbers only and used in the role of a high-altitude interceptor against enemy machines operating at great heights. It was powered by a supercharged Merlin engine adapted for thin air.
Take care to use the extended pointed wing tips that set this version apart. Mask the cockpit glazing before painting and join the parts with liquid cement for plastic. Apply the British camouflage with an airbrush with fine transitions and bring out the cockpit before you close up the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
