An accessory for the cockpit, not a model of the aircraft. Yahu Models supplies the instrument panel as a finished part in full color that replaces the plastic panel or the decal in a kit. It is intended for models of the Japanese twin-engine Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu fighter in 1:32 scale. The basic kit is not included in the package.
The Ki-45 was a twin-engine fighter with a crew of two, used among other things as a fighter against bomber formations. The cockpit of such a machine is roomy in 1:32 scale and clearly visible when the model is displayed in the usual way, which raises the demands on detail. Hand-painting the dials is possible at this scale, but it is slow and comes out uneven. A finished panel gives legible instrument drawing at once and keeps the cockpit visually balanced with the rest of the equipment.
Fit the part before closing the fuselage. Thin down the original plastic panel so that the replacement seats in the correct plane and does not lift the canopy. Bond it in spots with super glue or with a glue for clear parts. Do not spray over the color finish; mask it when clear coating the cockpit. You can imitate the instrument glass with a drop of gloss clear coat applied with the tip of a toothpick. Add a dark wash around the panel so that it does not look like a foreign element.
This is an accessory for the cockpit, not a complete model. The basic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
