The Tu-144 in 1:144 scale from ICM is a plastic kit of the Soviet supersonic airliner, the first of its kind in the world.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from ICM captures the Soviet supersonic airliner Tu-144 in 1:144 scale. The set contains finely rendered plastic and clear parts, a detailed landing gear and a decal sheet. The elegant delta wing and the drooping nose section make the model a striking exhibit for the display case.
The Tu-144 was the first supersonic airliner in the world to enter service. Its prototype flew at the end of 1968, that is shortly before the Anglo-French Concorde. The aircraft was designed to carry passengers quickly over long distances and its cruising speed markedly exceeded the speed of sound.
Take care to line the long fuselage up cleanly and to sand the seams seamlessly. Use thin cement on the plastic. For the pure white subject a quality primer and even coats with an airbrush work well; apply the decals to a smooth gloss surface and finish the whole to match the real aircraft.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
