Wheels for the Humber Mk I armored car with the tread of the second tire maker in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. A resin set.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an accessory set, not a vehicle model. This variant carries the tread of the second of the suppliers that furnished British vehicles with tires. The difference between the patterns is not cosmetic: one maker used a more pronounced block pattern, the other a finer rendering, and on a model the two forms are clearly distinguishable. For a modeler building a particular vehicle from a period photograph it is therefore part of accuracy, not a matter of taste. A resin casting moreover has a sharper rendering than a plastic part and no mold parting seam.
The Humber Mk I was a British armored car with all-wheel drive, committed from the beginning of the Second World War. It served for reconnaissance and patrol duty, that is, for tasks where speed on the road and range decided, not armor. The vehicle had a small turret with light armament and a crew of three or four men.
The set is for modelers of British vehicles who are finishing off the chassis and want a tread matching the subject in a photograph. Working with resin is not difficult, but it differs from plastic.
It is not a vehicle model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
