This set from Red Fox Studio is made up of a fully pre-colored three-dimensional (3D) instrument panel and cockpit details in thin acrylic. It is neither a kit nor a waterslide decal but a finished surface detail stuck straight onto the plastic interior. The upgraded A-1M version has different avionics and an instrument panel that this set captures faithfully with hyper-realistic printing of the dials. It is prepared to suit the A-1M kit from Kinetic in 1:48 scale.
The AMX A-1M is the upgraded variant of the Brazilian AMX attack aircraft. The upgrade brought new avionics, displays and improved cockpit equipment, which makes the instrument panel differ markedly from the original version. The aircraft still serves for strikes on ground targets and for reconnaissance.
The parts are separated from the carrier fret and stuck onto the interior, best of all with super glue (cyanoacrylate); PVA glue is possible as well. The surface can be highlighted gently with a wash and knocked back with acrylic varnish. Before gluing we recommend trying the placement of the parts dry.
This is an interior detail accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
