Quinta Studio 1:48 F/A-18A++ is a set of pre-colored 3D interior decals on decal paper, cut for the Hobby Boss kit. It is the smaller version of the set and an add-on to a model, not a kit.

Layered printing directly onto decal paper gives the interior details a raised relief and finished colors. The set is applied to the model like a decal, but the result looks like a laboriously assembled and painted detail set. This set is the smaller version; the full version of the same set exists as a separate item. The set is cut for the F/A-18A++ kit from Hobby Boss in 1:48 scale: Quinta makes the same version of the aircraft for kits from other manufacturers too, so the target kit decides what to order. The model is not included in the package.
The designation F/A-18A++ carries the upgraded form of the single-seat A version of the carrier-based Hornet. The upgrades concerned mainly the avionics and the cockpit equipment, so the interior differs from the original machines; that is why Quinta has a separate set for this form and it is not used universally on every A version. The Hornet itself is a twin-engine aircraft intended for fighter and attack tasks alike, with a pair of canted vertical tails.
First paint the interior and let it dry thoroughly. With 3D decals as well, the film belongs on a smooth gloss surface: on a flat and rough area, air stays under the decal and the edges will silver. Cut the elements out one at a time, soak them for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and carry them with a brush or soft tweezers. Do not use a decal softener or setter: their chemistry will attack the printed resin and spoil the element. The basics are lukewarm water and pressing down with a cotton bud; the element has no adhesive layer of its own and holds on the gloss varnish. Once dry, go over the interior with flat varnish so that the gloss interlayer disappears.
An add-on to a model. The kit, paints and clear coat are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
