Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the ocean liner Titanic in 1:700 scale from the manufacturer Academy. The model is designed to be easier to assemble, with parts arranged for a quick fit, and it suits less experienced builders too. The model is supplied unassembled, and completing it calls for the usual modeling tools.
R.M.S. Titanic was a British ocean liner of the White Star Line shipping company, in her day one of the largest passenger ships in the world. She set out on her maiden voyage in April 1912 and sank in the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg. The ship was marked out by her characteristic silhouette with four funnels and an extensive superstructure.
The hull is built as a whole and it is worth cleaning up the joints carefully. Use a thin liquid cement on the plastic, and the paints are best laid on with an airbrush over a base coat. It pays to set the black hull, the white superstructure and the characteristic funnels apart; the deck detail comes out well once the shadows have been lightly accented. The model can be completed with a stand for displaying it.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
