Aires 1:72 A-7E Corsair II cockpit set (late version) is a resin aftermarket accessory for experienced modelers that replaces the cockpit of a kit of this American carrier attack aircraft with a fine, three-dimensional casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a resin accessory in 1:72 scale, not a stand-alone airplane model. It replaces the original cockpit of a plastic A-7E Corsair II kit with a solid resin casting with crisp detail of the tub, the seat, the side consoles and the instrument panel. The set matches the late cockpit fit of this version and is intended for experienced modelers who want to lift the cockpit above the level of the molding from the box.
The Vought A-7E Corsair II was an American carrier-borne subsonic attack aircraft powered by a jet engine, with good range and a large weapons load. It served with the Navy as a precision strike machine from the Vietnam era until the arrival of a new generation of multirole aircraft. The late cockpit was marked by more modern avionics and instrument layout.
This is a resin casting for advanced modelers. First wash the parts free of mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the cut surfaces – always with respiratory protection. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue; try the surfaces dry before fixing them. It pays to paint the cockpit and bring it out before closing up the fuselage.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set. The aircraft kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package.
