A plastic kit of the Soviet aerobatic aircraft Sukhoi Su-26 in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker Amodel. This short-run kit brings an unusual but famous subject into a collection - one of the most successful aerobatic aircraft in history.
The Su-26 was the first sporting aircraft from the Sukhoi design bureau. The single-seat mid-wing monoplane, first flown in 1984, staked everything on an exceptionally strong structure with extensive use of composite materials, thanks to which it withstood extreme g loads in both directions. Power came from the nine-cylinder M-14P radial engine. The Su-26 and its developed versions dominated the World Aerobatic Championships at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s and flew in teams all over the world.
The model is small in its dimensions - the cleanliness of the joints and careful painting will decide the result. Test fit the parts dry and sand the joints down gently. Aerobatic aircraft wore striking, often multicolored schemes: work with masking tape, apply the colors from the light ones to the dark ones and lay down gloss varnish before the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
