An injection-molded plastic kit of the British de Havilland Hornet fighter in the fighter-reconnaissance version FR.Mk.4, in 1:72 scale from the Czech brand AZ model. It is a modern mold with fine engraved detail. The FR.Mk.4 version carried photo-reconnaissance equipment in the fuselage.
The de Havilland Hornet was a twin-engine piston fighter of mixed wood-and-metal construction with a pair of Rolls-Royce Merlin engines, one of the fastest production piston-engine twins. The FR.Mk.4 version was the fighter-reconnaissance variant with a camera placed in the rear fuselage, which combined combat capability with the option of tactical photo-reconnaissance.
Glue the parts with a thin modeling glue and protect the canopy glazing with a mask. Pay attention to the precise seating of the engine nacelles and the propellers. Once the base color has been sprayed on with an airbrush, apply the gloss color of the airframe, the decals and a fine panel wash to accentuate the lines.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
