The model captures a small, fast vessel of the Imperial German Navy and is built as a full-hull version with a stand. The parts are in gray plastic and the box contains decals. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
A86 was one of the German coastal torpedo boats built during the First World War to protect the coast and escort smaller vessels. They were small, slender ships with a steam turbine, gun armament and a torpedo tube, intended for action in shallow coastal waters. This class supplemented the larger destroyers in coastal defense.
A small vessel places demands on accuracy when fitting the fine parts of the armament and the superstructures. The hull can be built complete on the stand. We recommend liquid cement for plastic, a primer and an airbrush; pick the fine detail out with a thin wash and add any rigging with fine thread.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
