Ground engineering personnel with a Firestreak missile on a transport trolley, 1:48 scale. Meant for scenes with the Lightning, the Sea Vixen and the Javelin.
Responsibility details are not available.
Firestreak was a British infrared-guided air-to-air missile. It entered service in the late 1950s and was carried by the Lightning, the Sea Vixen and the Gloster Javelin. The missile was brought to a parked aircraft on a low transport trolley, and only at the pylon was it raised into position. That very moment makes a rewarding scene: the technicians at the trolley, the aircraft opened up and the missile between the two.
The set comprises ground engineering personnel, a Firestreak missile and a transport trolley. The package is listed as one piece; the exact make-up is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and sand the remainder down; on the frame of the trolley work in small steps, because the thin cross members break easily. Before painting, wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry. Join the parts with cyanoacrylate. Paint the figures over a base coat and use a glaze in the folds of the clothing; keep the missile in a clean shade with crisp transitions between the color bands, so that it stands out beside the dusty equipment.
The set is for builders of British postwar fighters who want to show more on the base than the machine alone. It also serves as an accessory to a finished model with no scene planned.
The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
