It is a set of refined landing lights in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer GAS HANS, intended for a model of the Hawker Hurricane fighter. The set combines fine resin (3D printed) parts with clear elements for a faithful rendering of the lights in the wing leading edge. It replaces the corresponding parts of the basic kit and adds detail that plastic alone cannot manage. A separate basic Hawker Hurricane kit in 1:48 scale is needed to use it.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter, one of the key machines of the Battle of Britain. Although it tends to stand in the shadow of the Spitfire, it shot down the most enemy aircraft during that battle and proved itself as a robust and easily repaired weapons platform. It served on many battlefields of the Second World War in a range of versions and roles.
The accessory is intended for more experienced modelers. Wash the resin parts free of any print resin residue, separate them carefully from the print supports and clean them up; protect your airways when sanding and ventilate the room. Glue them with cyanoacrylate, because ordinary cement for plastic does not hold on resin. Glue the clear parts with canopy glue or with a cyanoacrylate that gives off minimal fumes, so that they do not fog. Cut an opening in the wing as needed to seat the light.
