An injection-molded plastic kit of the British destroyer HMS Kelly as she stood in 1940, in 1:700 scale. The Deluxe Edition adds a set of photo-etched parts, metal barrels and metal rod beyond the plastic, which let you draw out the maximum of detail. The model is a full-hull version.
HMS Kelly was a British destroyer that became famous under the command of Lord Louis Mountbatten. The ship took part in the fighting of the opening years of the Second World War in European waters and became a symbol of her crew's courage. Destroyers of this class were fast and handy and carried both gun and torpedo armament.
Bond the small photo-etched items with super glue and the plastic parts with liquid cement for plastic. Fit the railings and the fine items only at the end. We recommend building it in a camouflage scheme of the period and bringing out the panel lines and the weathering with washes. The model can be built with the full hull, or it can be reworked into a waterline attitude and set on a stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
