About product

AK Interactive – elastic rigging thread Thin

Elastic Rigging Bobbin Thin from AK Interactive is a bobbin of elastic rigging thread. The elasticity is the main advantage: the thread is easily stretched between anchor points, tensions itself naturally and has no tendency to sag. This Thin version suits the 1:35, 1:32 and 1:48 scales. The bobbin holds 20 m.

Use

  • Antennas, control cables and the rigging of aircraft and vehicles.
  • Cables and tensioning features on dioramas.
  • The thread is stretched between points, tensioned slightly and fixed with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • Thanks to its elasticity it is easy to position and holds a straight taut cable.

Who it is for

The thread will be appreciated by modelers who want realistic and fine rigging without sagging. The Thin version aims at the common larger scales (1:35, 1:32, 1:48), typical of aircraft and military vehicle models.

This is a modeling material, not a kit. Super glue is not included in the package.

FAQ

The elasticity makes it easier to position and the thread tensions itself once stretched. The cable therefore stays straight and does not sag even after a long time.

The Thin version is intended for the 1:35, 1:32 and 1:48 scales – typically antennas, cables and the rigging of aircraft and vehicles.

It is stretched between anchor points, tensioned slightly and fixed with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
