Helicopter model kits in 1:100 form a narrow but interesting group between everyday seventy-second and the collector miniatures. Hundredth scale has a long association with Japanese tooling and a quick build: an Apache or an armed UH-1 Huey goes together over a weekend and takes up a fist's worth of shelf. A sound choice where space is short, or as a present for a younger builder.
If the small end appeals, 1:144 helicopter kits offer a richer choice of rotary-wing subjects and a scale that is shared with airliners, so a mixed cabinet still holds together. For more detail while staying compact, step up to 1:72 helicopter kits. Every size in one place: helicopter model kits.
