The United States Marine Corps had a green of its own, different from the army olive, and its faded version is represented by USMC Green Faded FS24052, a water-based acrylic paint from Lifecolor.
Responsibility details are not available.
The vehicles of the United States Marine Corps did not match the army olive in color. Their green is richer and more forest-like, with a markedly greener base, and other brands offer it under the number of the same chart as Marine Corps Green. The shade USMC Green Faded FS24052 is a water-based acrylic paint and is the faded position of this tone.
The FS number and what follows from it
The abbreviation FS denotes the American federal chart. It is a purely numerical system in which a shade has no official name, only a code. That is the opposite of British practice, where colors were named and a sequence number was added. The modeler gains from this when checking: under the same number the shade can be found at several manufacturers and their readings of it compared. With British shades, which carry only a name and a sequence number of their own system, such a comparison across brands is substantially harder.
For modelers of American vehicles of the postwar period who distinguish between the army and the Marine Corps, and for those who want a faded green tone without mixing.
