This is a photo-etched detail set from Tetra Model Works, not a tank model. The set in thin brass sheet is meant to sharpen up a plastic kit of the Russian T-90 main battle tank in the version with a bulldozer blade in 1:35 scale. Among other things it holds photo-etched side skirts and further fine elements of the hull and the superstructure. The parts follow the Meng kit.
The T-90 is a Russian main battle tank developed from the T-72 line. It is armed with a 125 mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader and protected by reactive armor and an active protection system. The version with a blade allows obstacles to be cleared and the vehicle to dig itself in in the field.
The photo-etched parts in thin brass sheet are separated with a sharp knife on a hard surface, bent over an edge or in a bending tool and bonded best with super glue (cyanoacrylate). It is a good idea to degrease both the photo-etch and the plastic before gluing. The photo-etched side skirts are bent to the right shape before fitting and mounted on their brackets or on the fenders. The finished surface is treated with a primer and sprayed with an airbrush, and the weathering is built up with washes and pigments.
This is an accessory, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
