Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:144 scale brings together two legendary opponents of the First World War in one box. The Valom set from the air duels line contains models of the British Sopwith F.1 Camel and the German triplane Fokker Dr.I and decals for both sides. It is a rewarding set, which captures a typical air duel at a small size.
The Sopwith Camel was one of the most successful British fighters of the First World War, famous for its agility and for the tricky handling that came from the concentration of weight in its front end. The Fokker Dr.I is the world-famous triplane linked with the name of the Red Baron. Both machines met over the Western Front in their day and together they form the classic pair from the beginnings of air combat.
The small parts and thin struts in this scale call for a sharp knife and tweezers. First clean the parts up and test the fit. Matte colors support the fabric covering of the flying surfaces, and on the Fokker consider the typical streaked scheme. The bracing wires can be suggested with fine thread. Lay the decals onto a gloss coat and cover them with a matte one.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
