Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German recovery vehicle Bergepanzer 38(t) in its late production form in 1:35 scale from Thunder Model. The set contains a richly detailed running gear, the low open superstructure, photo-etched parts and detailed recovery equipment such as a slewing crane and a winch. It is an attractive variation on the popular Hetzer chassis.
The Bergepanzer 38(t) was a German recovery vehicle built on the chassis of the Hetzer tank destroyer. The fighting superstructure was replaced by a lower open structure and the vehicle received a folding crane for handling engines and heavy parts as well as a powerful winch for recovering stranded equipment. Production took place in Prague at the BMM works in the closing stage of the Second World War, and the actual number of vehicles built was considerably lower than the original order envisaged. The late version differed in small production details.
First assemble and paint the running gear and the inside of the open superstructure, because they will stay in view. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and attach the photo-etch and the winch cable with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer and the late war German camouflage of your choice with an airbrush and soft transitions. Bring out the welds and the cast surfaces with a wash, and apply pigments to the running gear and the lower parts for strong mud and dust effects matching working service.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
