S-model 1:72 R35 Light Tank Late Version is a plastic kit of the French Renault R35 light tank in its late form with the longer gun. The 1+1 package holds two complete models.

An injection-molded plastic kit from the Chinese maker S-model in 1:72 scale, in a package marked 1+1, that is with two identical complete models in one box. The line is conceived as a quick build with a sensible number of parts, supplemented by small photo-etched parts for finer detail. Two models in a package are practical for a pair of machines in a display case, for a diorama and for a modeler who wants to try one example first.
The Renault R35 was a French light infantry tank of the second half of the 1930s, intended for the direct support of infantry. It had a cast hull and a two-man layout with a single-man APX-R turret, heavy armor for its category and, on the other hand, a low speed matching its infantry role. The late production form differs from the early one above all in the longer 37 mm SA38 gun, which markedly improved its anti-armor capability compared with the early examples with the short gun. Vehicles of this type were built in large numbers, served with the French army and with export customers, and after 1940 Germany also used them in various roles and conversions.
Paint the running gear before you cover it with the side plates, as it is then hard to maneuver a brush between the road wheels. The cast surface of the hull and the turret shows after a thin dark wash and a fine accenting of the edges with a dry brush. French prewar schemes tend to be multicolor with soft transitions, which in 1:72 scale you can manage either with an airbrush at very low pressure or with careful brushwork using well thinned paint. At the end add dust and mud with pigments on the running gear and the lower part of the hull.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
