An injection-molded plastic kit of the American twin-engine multirole strike fighter McDonnell Douglas / Boeing F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:72 scale from Great Wall Hobby. It is modern new tooling with very fine detail, a generous set of external stores and clear plastic for the glazing. Great Wall Hobby is among the leaders in tooling quality in this scale.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is the two-seat strike version of the famous F-15 air superiority fighter, adapted for precise destruction of ground targets in any weather as well as for air combat. It carries a pilot and a weapon systems officer, a powerful radar and a wide range of external stores on fuselage and wing pylons. Its recognition feature is the conformal fuel tanks along the sides of the fuselage, which extend its range.
Use liquid cement for plastic and finish and paint the two-seat cockpit before closing the fuselage. Mask the extensive canopy glazing for sharp frames. Apply a primer before painting and apply the colors with an airbrush; on dark gray schemes you will appreciate subtle shading of the panels. Glue and paint the generous stores separately and add them only after the airframe has its base coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
