AK Interactive Transparent Yellow 17ml (transparent tinting paint)

Transparent yellow from the 3rd Generation acrylic line by AK Interactive. Note: this is a transparent tinting paint, not an opaque shade. It will not cover the base but will color it yellow and let the layer underneath show through. Water-thinnable, for brush as well as airbrush; a volume of seventeen milliliters.

What it is and what it is not

• It is: a transparent tinting (so-called clear) paint for effects such as tinting lights, glazed surfaces and a suggestion of filters and transitions
• It is not: an opaque yellow paint; on its own it will not cover plastic or create a full layer
• the resulting tone depends on the color of the base: on a light one it stands out, on a dark one it is barely noticeable

Use

• tinting clear parts (position lights, for example) and the subtle coloring of painted surfaces
• it is applied in thin layers with a brush as well as an airbrush and thinned with water or with the acrylic thinner of the same line
• it is layered up to strengthen the tone gradually

For more advanced modelers who work with tinting effects and clear parts. Anyone looking for a fully opaque yellow will reach for a standard opaque shade.
