Chibi-maru Ship Zuikaku Special Version from Fujimi is a special release of the cute shortened kit of the Japanese aircraft carrier Zuikaku completed with effect parts. This is not a scale model — the ship has deliberately comic distorted proportions.
Responsibility details are not available.
This special release from the Chibi-Maru line of the Japanese manufacturer Fujimi brings the aircraft carrier Zuikaku in a cute shortened form and, according to the name, completes it with effect parts for an action look on the finished model. The kit is in no scale — the proportions are deliberately distorted, so the resulting model is small, striking and easy to build.
Zuikaku was a Shokaku-class aircraft carrier of the Imperial Japanese Navy. She entered service in 1941, took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor and in a number of further operations in the Pacific, and was sunk in October 1944 in the fighting off Cape Engaño. She was among the longest serving Japanese aircraft carriers of the war.
The build is undemanding and even a beginner will manage it. Paint the flight deck in a different shade from the hull and bring it out with a fine wash, and place the small fittings with tweezers. We recommend fitting the effect parts only after the rest of the model is painted.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
