Colored 3D interior for the Spitfire Mk.XVI (1:48) is a set of colored 3D decals from Quinta Studio for a detailed cockpit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter. It is not a kit but an accessory. The set is prepared for the Eduard kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings a complete colored cockpit printed by 3D printing on decal paper. It is applied much like classic decals, but thanks to its relief structure it carries three-dimensional detail: recessed instrument dials, raised bezels, switches, levers, grab handles and seat belts. It is not a kit but an accessory meant to detail a model of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XVI fighter in 1:48 scale markedly.
The Spitfire Mk.XVI was a late version of the famous British fighter, powered by a Merlin engine built under license. It differed from the closely related Mk.IX version mainly in where the powerplant came from, and it was used at the close of the Second World War, among other things in the fighter-bomber role. Many machines had a lowered fuselage spine and a teardrop canopy.
The color printing does away with the need to paint the tiny instruments and the seat belts. The parts are taken from the sheet, applied to the instrument panel, the side consoles and the seat and pressed gently into shape before the fuselage is closed up. We recommend a smooth, degreased base, patient seating and, if you wish, fixing with a matte coat.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
