Replacement rubber seals for the Vallejo Profinish airbrush, which restore a tight air circuit and a tight paint circuit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Profinish is a gravity-feed Vallejo airbrush and, like every airbrush of this type, it lives and dies by a few pieces of rubber. They keep the air in the channel, the paint in the cup and the needle on its axis. The package offers a replacement for exactly this model, because diameters and thicknesses do not match across different airbrushes and a ring that only approximately fits will not do its job. Without working seals, pressure escapes at places you cannot see into, and the modeler then looks for the cause anywhere else.
You do not have to wait for a failure. It is sensible to renew the seals preventively during a major service, that is when you strip the airbrush down to the last part, clean the inside and put it back together. A ring that is flattened, dulled or breaks when bent no longer seals, even though it looks whole from the outside. The behavior of the trigger is a good guide as well: if it has stopped returning smoothly, the seal around the needle is usually to blame.
Owners of this airbrush who want to keep it running for years, and modelers who would rather repair than buy a new tool. It pays to have it in the drawer before it is needed, as a cracked seal usually announces itself in the middle of unfinished work. A spare lying ready takes up no room at all, so there is no reason to put it off.
