One kit, but a memorable one, represents 1:720 ship model kits: the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, the first of her kind in the world. At a real length of over 340 metres she comes out at roughly 47 cm, which leaves room for a flight deck crowded with aircraft and the carrier's unmistakable square island, while still fitting an ordinary shelf. The island and the deck markings are where the time goes.
1:720 sits so close to the widespread 1:700 that hulls from both can share a case without a second glance. Further carriers in a comparable format are in 1:800 ship model kits, and the complete index of hulls is at ship model kits. Railings and radar screens to sharpen the deck up come from ship model accessories.
